Charlottes Web
Is Templeton the rat a hero or villian in the story? I think that he started out as a villian then became a hero. He is the charecter that matures most in the story. All he did was care about himself then he became selfless and helped save Wilbur. Sure he did things for himself but I think that deep down he cared for Wilbur.

Yes I would agree that Templeton is a static character (changes throughout the story). Tyler next time try to use some specific examples from the story in your writings.
